Connection and shared experience are powerful tools for healing and growth.
We are dedicated to building a supportive community where individuals facing mental health challenges, homelessness, trauma, and life transitions can find compassionate guidance and a path forward.
From lived experience to lived purpose
Centipede Peer to Peer grew from a simple but powerful idea: that people who have walked through hardship are uniquely equipped to guide others on a similar path.
Our name reflects how we move — many legs working together, grounded and steady, covering ground one step at a time. Every "leg" in our organization represents a person, a story, a connection that keeps us moving forward.
Rooted in Stockton, we understand the unique challenges our community faces. We meet people where they are — not with clinical distance, but with the warmth and understanding that only comes from shared experience.
Support that comes from understanding, not authority.
Peer support is a relationship built on mutual respect and shared lived experience. Unlike traditional clinical models, peer support recognizes that healing happens in connection — not in isolation.
Our peer supporters have walked through their own challenges and come out the other side with wisdom, empathy, and a deep desire to help others. They're trained, compassionate, and committed to walking alongside you.
Support that meets you
where you are.
Every person's journey is unique. Our peer support services are designed to be flexible, responsive, and rooted in genuine understanding.
